| Unlike other biocide treatment programs,
the Bio-Assure Cooling Water Program does not take a passive approach to
biological control. The results of regular biological testing throughout
the cooling season provides the operator with information which may
confirm effective control in the cooling system or which may trigger
specific actions designed to quickly regain control over biological
growth. In addition, Legionella specific testing is provided to identify
the potential presence of this deadly bacteria in the cooling water.
This proactive response is designed to eliminate potential problems and

- Bio-Assure Program Guidelines
- The Bio-Assure Cooling Tower Program sets the
industry standard for biological control programs. While ordinary
treatment programs set their own parameters for operation and control.
The Bio-Assure Program utilizes information provided by organizations
such as OSHA, ASHRAE, CTI, AWT and others to regulate the program and
procedures used during the course of the cooling season. These
detailed procedures and controls help to assure effective control and
maintain compliance with the most recent industry and governmental
recommendations and guidelines.

- Bio-Assure Records and Procedures
- The Bio-Assure Manual provides the operating engineer
with a complete guide and description of the Bio-Assure Program.
Included in the manual are detailed procedures for the feed and
control of the biocide chemical program as well as procedures for
regular biofilm cleanings, system flushing and disinfecting
procedures, emergency disinfection procedures and end of the season
lay-up instructions. Regular log entries in the Bio-Assure Manual
provides the operator with a written record of the program
effectiveness over the course of the operating season.
